- Round and round we go, I guess. If the problem isn't limited bandwidth
- (highly unlikely that it is, by the way) then the upgrade (with its
- improvements in other areas like EC) won't help him, is that what you are

- I did not say "identical", I said they were "essentially" the same. And
- they are.

-
- No, they aren't dependent on V.34. I don't think I claimed they were. I
- think I claimed that USR included them in their V.34+ code however. Got
- that? That is, whether they are dependent on V.34 is not relevant, it's
- whether they exist at all. How many Rockwell chipset modems have the
- larger packets?

-
- Do you have the V.34+ model or chip?

-
- And that is one of the reasons that I don't trust what the magazines
- report from their tests. Again, an independent test in the "real world"
- would be interesting to me.
-

-
- That's too bad. I would have liked to see this claim verified.

- : It should be obvious to you that the PPI will NOT get those sorts

- : higher theoretical maximum throughput then the USR Courier. Of course,
- : theoretical throughput isn't too important as compared to real world
- : performance.
-
- I tossed that in not as a comparison to the PPI (my 28.8k connect results
- were for that) but to point out that 33600 connects are possible and even
- when one end is on a SLC (you reading this, Bill? [g]).
-
- Just a little bragging... [g]
